The Issue of Video Games
In the last two decades, the explosion of the video game industry has made gaming such an integral part of our society that we must consider the effects it has had. How does excessive, or even controlled, video gaming affect the development of our youth? The issue of Violent behavior linked to gaming has come up time and time again, but there's more to it than that. What are the positive effects of video games? What are ALL of the negative effects? Do the positives outweigh the negatives, or vice-versa? These are things we need to ask to determine the effects that this popular new past-time has on our youth and our population as a whole.
